About

With a B.S. in Cybersecurity Management and Analytics from Virginia Tech and an Associate’s in Business Administration, I bring both technical expertise and a strong business foundation to support IT operations and enhance organizational security.

Before and during my academic journey, I spent over six years in technical, hands-on roles across blue-collar industries. That experience taught me how to deliver under pressure, maintain and repair complex systems, and adapt quickly to new tools and environments. While these positions were not strictly IT, the technical rigor and problem-solving they demanded directly shaped my ability to approach challenges methodically; skills I now apply in cybersecurity and IT contexts.

At Virginia Tech, I built on that foundation through labs and projects focused on vulnerability management, network troubleshooting, and risk assessment. I gained hands-on experience with tools such as Nmap, Wireshark, and Nessus, and I worked extensively with frameworks like NIST CSF and CIS to evaluate and improve system security. My professional background also includes IT support functions. Maintaining hardware, managing user access, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. These revealed the value of clear communication and strong customer service alongside technical proficiency.

As with anyone seeking expert status in the tech field, I also boast a fluency in many coding languages. Python and R, to facilitate automation and software development, as well as JSON, VBA, and SQL for data analysis and optimization. Finally, Bash and PowerShell proficiencies allow for smooth device maintenance and network configuration.
